Let's pretend A man comes to you and he feels that you are trustworthy.
He has been watching you for some time and he feels that your manners
are good and your deen is pleasing to him. He pulls you aside and asks
you for a favor. He has a treasure in his home and he wants you to guard
it for him. This treasure was given to him as a trust and he did his best to
take care of it and now he wants you to take care of this treasure.
It is a delicate treasure and may take up a lot of your time and energy. What would you do?
Let's stop pretending.
When a man in trusts his daughter to another man for marriage,
he is giving one of his treasures to someone else. This treasure
was given to him as a trust from ALLAH and he is passing on his trust.
His treasure is indeed delicate and may very well take up your time
and energy. If we take into account the value of a Muslimah to her
Dad and to her Lord, we may be more careful in how we deal with our treasures.
